True craftsmanship comes from experience. Before founding Anderson Awning in 1988, owner Charles Caler spent 12 years building successful shade businesses in Augusta and Hilton Head. He brought that deep expertise to the Upstate to create the region’s premier custom awning company.

Consultation and Visualization
We meet on-site to assess your goals and take precise measurements. During this visit, we use specialized software to superimpose your chosen design onto a photo of your building. This allows you to clearly see the final result before making any commitments.
Transparent Estimates and Approvals
After the design is approved, we provide a detailed project proposal. Projects typically have a three to eight-week lead time. If your project includes a logo or branding, we also create a free, at-scale digital rendering of the artwork for your approval before fabrication begins.

We build your custom structure in our own shop using specialized techniques tailored to your materials:
• Fabric and Vinyl: We stretch all covers drum-tight. We use fabric-welding machines and reinforced stitching to create wrinkle-free seams that never require retightening. We also test-fit every cover on its frame before it leaves the facility.
• Standing Seam Metal: We fabricate proprietary, custom trim pieces for a seamless exterior. We completely avoid retrofitting generic roofing parts and conceal all fasteners.
• Aluminum and Retractables: We meticulously assemble and inspect every metal frame, adding reinforced silicone seals to all corners to guarantee a leak-proof canopy.
Structural Installation
We engineer every mount so the structure never pulls away from the wall. Our installation crews bypass the exterior siding and anchor directly into the actual framing of the building using heavy-duty hardware, lead shielding, and custom blocking. Finally, we seal every mount with permanent silicone caulk to guarantee your new addition survives the harshest weather conditions.
